- PELERINE STITCHESThese stitches are produced by meshing the upper and lower components of a single loop together at the next course. Modifications of these stitches produce raised designs and places and eyelet holes. By meshing the lower components of the first row of loops to a subsequent row a hem or welt is produced on a plain fabric.
